CT-guided interventions are minimally invasive procedures in which CT imaging is used in real-time to guide the placement of needles or catheters with precision. These techniques combine the diagnostic capability of CT with the therapeutic potential of interventional procedures, allowing physicians to perform biopsies, drain fluid collections, and deliver medications directly to targeted areas.
CT guidance enables safe access to deep-seated lesions that would be difficult or impossible to reach using other methods. The real-time visualization ensures accurate needle placement, reducing complications and improving diagnostic yield.
Most CT-guided interventions are performed under local anesthesia with conscious sedation. The interventional radiologist carefully plans the approach using CT imaging, then performs the procedure with real-time CT guidance. Recovery is typically rapid, and most patients go home the same day.
Our experienced interventional radiologists have extensive expertise in CT-guided procedures. We utilize our state-of-the-art CT scanner and a team-based approach to ensure the highest level of precision and patient safety for all interventional procedures.
